Mercury Retrograde Alert! - Mercury, the planet of perception, stations retrograde on May 7, 01:00 AM EDST until May 30th at 09:22 PM EDST and will remain in its shadow until June 15th. Mercury slips from early Gemini back into the earthy practical attitude of Taurus. The usual warning about facts, figures and contracts - as it is anytime Mercury retrogrades. The emphasis is on reworking practical articles of beauty. By all means, re-write the song, the screenplay - or upgrade the wardrobe. Beautify your garden or redecorate your home! Guard your head and throat from illness or injury! Put great thought and deliberation into even small tasks.
Saturn Retrograde Alert! - Saturn stationed retrograde the last evening of 2008 at 06:09 PM EDST and will remain so until May 17th, 2009 at 02:08 AM EDST! Reworking plans and modifying existing structures will prove to be quite an ambitious task in this cycle. Progress can only be made once the foundation to build upon is firmly in place. With Mercury also retrograde part of this month, confusion can occur in meetings and agreements. Be prepared to take copious notes and struggle to maintain ORDER. Once Saturn resumes direct motion, your vision will clear but oversights can present themselves. Be thorough!

Tributes to man's imagination and innovation will also be in evidence. This is a provocative and inspirational cycle! Pluto Retrograde Alert! - Pluto stations retrograde in Capricorn on April 4, 2009 at 01:35 PM EDST and remains so until September 11, 2009 at 12:57 PM EDST!!! Saturn is Capricorn's ruler, placing an emphasis on government, the military, organizations that protect and serve the public as well as rulers throughout the World. Pluto, due to its slow and erratic orbit, is a planet of process and transformation. Its retrograde status is an indicator that future solutions may lie in the past, and history and honor will play a role in the changes we face as inhabitants of this planet called Earth.

This Full Moon in Scorpio is in a T-square to Jupiter and the Sun as it sextiles retrograde Saturn in Virgo. The challenge is to reconsider long term solutions and fine tune our strategies for a brighter future. Aquarian Jupiter represents the positive aspects of our science, technology and a desire to promote altruistic causes in the World. The Sun in Taurus, points to the need for practical day to day solutions whereas the Moon in Scorpio highlights our desire to invest in resources and a tenacious psychology for long term survival. The challenges we face are defined. We need to approach solution with science as well as imagination.
NEW MOON occurs on May 24, 2009 at 08:11 AM EDST
This New Moon is kissing the Sun in Gemini and both are in trine to the Head of the Dragon as they also quincunx retrograde Pluto in Capricorn. The possibility of diversified minds reaching brilliant solutions is apparent but the quincunx stalls progress due to existing laws, cultural taboos and the vast spectrum of priorities in different parts of the World. Retrograde Pluto in Capricorn breathes caution even though transformation is essential. Existing structures and governmental bodies will be seeking to change some laws as well as some leaders. The wheels turn slowly as the Head of Medusa (Mercury is retrograde on Algol!) watches and waits!
